Smartrac ™ System For The 9000 Series Combines

Massey Ferguson Smartrac takes the operator stress and guess work out of keeping headers operating at the correct position when harvesting over rolling terrain or terraces. A total of 8 degrees of lateral tilt keeps headers performing on the most rolling terrain. Header raise, lower and float positions are controlled by the switches in the operator’s hydro handle. The operator also has manual control over Smartrac operation if desired.

One large double acting hydraulic cylinder powers the lateral tilt frame which pivots a total of 8 degrees on a large steel pin located at the bottom center of the feed house.

Smartrac control

Smartrac Control

The control module is conveniently incorporated in the cab control console to the right of the operator. Functions are on-off, operating height, sensitivity calibration and LED’s indicating proper component function.

Smartrac Header Sensor Rods

Header sensor rods follow the contours of the ground, signaling the hydraulic system to correct the lateral position of the header accordingly. Automatic operation improves crop harvesting performance and reduces operator fatigue. Header automatically levels when raised to full transport position.

Smartrac sensor rods and electronic sensors are included with the Model 8200 Flex Head and are field installed options for the Model 7200 Rigid Head and Model 3000 Corn Head.
