Advanced Rotor-Technology...High Capacity THRESHING...Outstanding Crop VERSATILITY. | | | | The Massey Ferguson Advanced Technology Rotor features a 27.5 in. (700 mm) diameter rotor on the Model 9690 and 9790 combine. Model 9895 feature a higher capacity 31.5 in. (800 mm) diameter rotor. Rotor length for all three models is 140 in. (3,556 mm). Long rotor length, plus 160 degree concave wrap contributes to complete crop threshing and separation with gentle crop handling characteristics. With over 25 years of hydrostatic rotor drive experience, these are only part of the many reasons you get exceptional reliability and grain quality with Massey Ferguson rotary combines. | Helical Front Feeder The patented front feeder is positioned just below the rotor intake area. It runs at a constant speed and features opposed helical vanes that evenly feeds the rotor and assures a smooth quiet flow of crop. Stones or other foreign items are deflected into the stone trap by the front feeder to prevent damage to threshing components. | | Components: - Tungsten carbide threshing elements positioned directly behind the rotor intake f lighting starts the threshing process, smoothes out incoming crop flow and conveys it to the high profile chrome hardened cylinder bars which, working in conjunction with the concave completes the threshing process.
- Three rows of seven rotor knives are bolted to the length of the rotor to keep the threshed crop mat broken up and further add to the efficiency of the grain separation process. In heavy crop mat conditions, up to 21 additional rotor knives can be added for additional separation capacity.
- Two rotor reverse bars positioned 180 degrees apart adds to the aggressiveness of the threshing and separation process. The rice version utilizes four sets of reverse bars positioned 90 degrees apart.
- Large separating area with three rows of separation paddles keep the threshed crop rotating in the rotor cage while separating the remaining kernels of grain from the residue.
- High profile cylinder bars are hard chrome surfaced and reversible for long life and reduced maintenance.
- Cab Rotor Reverser - Massey Ferguson rotary combines feature full power rotor reversing capability. No need to leave the operator’s seat and no special wrenches required. Should the rotor become plugged, simply open the concaves electrically; toggle the rotor reverser from the AGCO Global Technologies Console II to clear the slug. Restore concave setting and resume harvesting, it’s just that simple.
- Constant Speed Rotor Control - “Constant Speed Rotor Control” system maintains the selected rotor speed, even though crop yield may vary or the engine speed change. Overload alarm senses maximum rotor capacity and warns operator of a potential rotor plugging.
- 3-Speed Rotor Drive Gear Box - With three speed ranges, you can select the right combination of rotor speed and drive torque to efficiently harvest a wide variety of crops. Capacity is maximized and combine fuel consumption is minimized. Models 9790 and 9690 are equipped with a 2-speed rotor drive gear box.
- Unique Concave Design - Model 9895 Combine is equipped with a uniquely designed split concave and linkage that adjusts both sides of the concave to provide uniform concave clearance around the entire 160 degrees of the concave. This results in more complete crop threshing and greater utilization of grain pan width due to even material spread.
