The Challenger MT800B Series tractors are designed from the ground up to deliver optimum power and maneuverability on tracks.

These tractors are the perfect mix of intelligence and strength.

Beneath that big, powerful exterior pulses the industry’s most sophisticated electronic operating systems, all linked together by the innovative intellitronics™ network.

Electronic control modules on the engine, power train, hydraulics, hitch and other components continuously “talk to each other” and share performance data via the Intellitronics™ CANBUS network.

This enables the Challenger MT800B-Control system to monitor and analyze performance through the Tractor Management Centre (TMC), perform repetitive tasks with the One-Touch™ management system, interface with GPS based systems like the optional Auto-Guide™ satellite navigation system and communicate with and control implements based on the ISO11783 system. The Intellitronics™ network also commands the Power Management System, to maximize the power train function to match every application.

This all makes the Challenger MT800B Series tractors the most powerful and sophisticated machines in the field .

Manage The Power

As part of the MT800B-Control System the Power Management function works through the Intellitronics™ network to perform tractor and implement functions most efficiently. Operated with the Tractor Management Centre (TMC), Power Management varies engine and transmission settings to optimise

  • the tractor’s power,
  • speed,
  • fuel efficiency and
  • productivity.

3 Transmission Settings:

Maximum Power Output

Heavy draft loads like a sub-soiler demand maximum power to keep the tool at the proper working depth.

In the Maximum Power Output mode, the tractor automatically shifts gears to keep the engine in the peak power range .

Constant Engine Speed

When running PTO-driven implements, the Constant Engine Speed mode maintains a preset engine speed to give you constant PTO rpm throughout the entire field.

Constant Ground Speed

To uniformly incorporate chemicals with a field cultivator, the Constant Ground Speed mode maintains a preset ground speed by varying the engine speed and shifting the transmission automatically while providing maximum fuel efficiency.

For faster, precision farming, the optional Auto-Guide™ satellite navigation system uses cutting-edge GPS technology to guide your implement through your fields at higher rates of speed and accuracy.

This is especially valuable for more accurate operation at night or in low visibility conditions.

The Auto-Guide™ system steers the tractor, without operator input, to make parallel swaths for improved efficiency and reduced operator fatigue . The system is available with optional upgrades that provide various accuracy levels depending on operation.

The Auto-Guide™ system is fully integrated into the Intellitronics™ network.

It can be engaged using the Challenger One-Touch™ function, and is supported under the tractor’s diagnostic system.

Control At Your Fingertips

The One-Touch™ management system allows the operator to perform a number of tractor and implement functions sequentially with the simple push of a button.

One-Touch™ works with the Intellitronics™ network to record a series of events, like:

  • transmission shifting,
  • throttle,
  • three-point hitch position (raise/lower),
  • PTO status (on/off),
  • implement hydraulics (raise/lower),
  • Power Management (on/off), and
  • Auto-Guide™.
  • Then it easily repeats the series automatically on command. A new feature to the software allows the operator to pre-select start gears 1-7, with the selection retained when the tractor is switched off.

Tractor Management Centre

The Tractor Management Centre (TMC), using the Intellitronics network, lets the operator control and monitor tractor and implement functions from the driver’s seat.

With its at-a-glance display, the TMC provides the operator with a constant flow of tractor information and performance data, displayed in both easy-to-read code and text formats.
