Pickup

The low profile MF160 pickup is designed to take the largest swaths and feed them gently into the baler

The MF160 pickups are either 2.00 m or 2.20 m wide, so picking up the widest swaths is done with ease.

Using heavy duty drives, tine bars supported on roller bearings and augers, the crop is lifted up and fed into the baler.

The pickup wheels ensure the pickup tines are collecting crop, not debris. In short you get pickups that are made to do the job efficiently, hectare after hectare.

Cutters and bale type

MF160 Series round balers are available in two types; fixed chamber and variable chamber.

MF 163F fixed chamber

MF169 Baler

The MF 163F offers the ultimate in fixed chamber baler performance. The combination of rollers with chain and slats gives unrivalled crop handling, in silage, hay and straw.

The design of the rollers maximizes positive rotation of the bale, whilst minimizing leaf loss and power requirement.

The chain and slat arrangement ensures that the bale starts turning at an early stage, and keeps turning until full bale size is achieved.

This ensures consistent, high-density bales in all conditions.

MF 167/169V variable chamber

MF169 Baler

The MF 167 V and 169 V are higher-capacity, variable chamber balers that are also designed to bale silage, hay and straw, giving the larger farmer or contractor real operating flexibility.

Featuring five, rigid, wide-profile belts, the design gives the best contact on the bale whilst in the chamber, ensuring smooth rotation with minimum crop loss, even in dry conditions.

The belt surface is specially designed to turn the bale gently, with minimal slippage on the drive rollers.

In addition to the belts, three rollers are also in constant contact with the bale, helping to support its weight and to ensure quick turning of the bale, giving faster bale starting.

The patented roller/scraper system ensures minimum downtime in difficult conditions.

Cutter options

The MF 167V and 169V are also available with a 14-knife cutter option, taking these variable chamber balers to another performance level.

When the Supercut 14 knife cutter option is specified, an electro-hydraulic reverser is also fitted to help clear any blockages quickly and easily.

Triple-density bales

The same bale can be formed with three different bale densities (MF 167 V and 169 V), selected by the operator. This enables the operator to optimize crop preservation or maximum bale density and weight, depending on the job in hand.

Net wrap and twine

You can choose to have your baler with twine tie, net wrap or both.

MF169 Baler

The systems can let you apply twine and net at the same time if required. The positive feed of the net wrap ensures coverage to the edge of the bale every time.

The net storage locations are easy to access at the front of the baler, and a spare roll of net can be carried above the roll being used (on MF 167 V and 169 V models).

Balers are available with net, and/or twine wrap. Choosing twine, net or both can be done by a simple touch of a button on the monitor.

High-lift opening side panels give good access for cleaning, adjustments and twine box replenishment.

Monitoring and control

The Alpha bale monitor is a comprehensive monitoring and control system.

MF169 Baler

It gives the operator the ability to change bale size and density from the driver’s seat (except MF 163F). Net or twine tying or both are also operated by this simple-to-use interface.

When the optional cutter is fitted (MF 167 V/169 V), knife position can be set in, out or for cleaning or removal. Should a blockage occur, this can also be reversed without leaving the driver’s seat.

A constant indication of bale shape allows the operator to make small adjustments to driving technique to ensure perfectly shaped bales every time.

On the MF 167V and 169V models, core density is controlled from the cab.

MF169 Baler

Bale count information enables the operator to keep daily totals or results for each customer.

The baler monitor will also warn the operator if any faults occur with the tying or wrapping.
