Massey Ferguson 9000 Series Feeding-System

Harvest High Yielding Crops… With a Class Leading Feeding-System

Massey Ferguson Feeding System Field star main

Both the Model 9895 and 9790 Combines utilize in their Feeding-System a 55.4 in. (1,408 mm) wide feed house and the Model 9690 feed house is 44.1 in. (1,121 mm) wide. To ensure smooth feeding, both incorporate a floating front feed drum equipped with shock absorbers to prevent drum bounce and keep the feed chain in constant contact with the incoming crop.

Model 9895 and 9790 feature four rows , while the Model 9690 uses three rows of number 557 drive chain equipped with long life chrome pins .

Large coil tension springs keep feed chains adjusted properly in heavy crop conditions. Heavy duty bolt on conveyor feed slats keep the crop moving to the full width helical vane front feeder.

To further customize the combine feed system to specific harvest conditions the feed house chain speed can be quickly adapted by changing the drive belt position in the 2- groove pulley.

Massey Ferguson header drives incorporate a PTO style drive line between the combine and the header. This style drive line provides quick and easy drive line hook up and greatly reduces the concern of header drive shaft alignment.

Allows the operator to instantly match corn header drive and feed chain speed to changes in crop yield and combine ground speed for increased feeding efficiency. This time saving feature is included on corn/soybean models and available as an option on small grain/rice models.

A lever, located in a convenient location on the right side of the combine, operates the stone trap door. Opening the door dumps stones or other foreign objects collected in the stone trap. Massey Ferguson rice combines have a factory installed stone trap cover for improved feeding when harvesting rice.
