| SisuDiesel Citius 84 CTA engines are advanced technology engines, turbocharged and after cooled to deliver high performance power and torque and exceptional fuel economy . These 513 CID, 6-cylinder engines are Tier III emissions compliant and feature a common rail fuel injection system. A fuel lubricated 3-piston radial pump supplies fuel to each of the electronically operated 8-hole fuel injectors. Electronic Engine Management 3 (EEM3) constantly monitors engine performance requirements and can make up to 100 adjustments per second to fuel delivery rate and timing. This constant monitoring and adjustment results in: - fast response to engine power requirements,
- low exhaust emissions, and
- excellent fuel economy.
|
| Quick engine starting is enhanced by an automatic electric pre-heater located in the intake manifold. The fuel system also senses fuel temperature and adjusts fuel delivery rate to ensure quick power response and smooth running. These six cylinder engines are designed with two cylinder heads . Two rocker arms per cylinder operate two intake and two exhaust valves to assure these engines are easy breathing and respond quickly to horsepower demands. SisuDiesel Citius 84 CTA engines are constructed as a single piece , deep skirted cast iron block with heavy duty main bearing supports. To ensure smooth performance and long life, the connecting rods of each engine are individually weighed and balanced . Accountable engine assembly quality is assured since each engine is assembled by an individual technician who upon completion signs their name to the engine side plate. |

Dual Liner Support Wet cylinder liners are supported in two additional places with precision machined support rings located in the cylinder block. Two liner support rings and three lower liner sealing rings provide maximum liner support, reduced vibration and reduced liner corrosion due to vibration. This exclusive design directs 70% of the liner coolant flow to the upper part of the cylinder liner to quickly dissipate high combustion temperatures inside the engine. Competitive engines with wet cylinder liners have only one support ring. | Dual Liner Support |
CP3.3 Pump A 3-piston radial pump supplies fuel to the common rail fuel injection system a 20,000 PSI (1,400 bar). EEM3 constantly monitors engine performance and continuously adjusts fuel delivery and timing for maximum fuel economy. | CP3.3 Pump |

4 Valves Per Cylinder 24 valve cylinder head design (12 per head) improves combustion chamber air flow and air to fuel mix capabilities, which reduces engine exhaust emissions. | 4 Valves per Cylinder |
Air Intake Screen Rotating air intake screen provides a large unobstructed flow of clean air to the engine cooling system. The Model 9690 and 9790 combines are equipped with a 40 in. (1,016 mm) diameter rotating air intake screen that is hydrostatically driven. The Model 9895 combine rotating air intake screen is 50 in. (1,270 mm) in diameter and hydrostatically driven. | Air Intake Screen |
